Our
Story
Quality and integrity still matter.

Hi there—I’m Julian Garber, owner and hands-on lead at VWC Construction. Long before blueprints and building codes, I was a little Mennonite boy in the South holding boards steady for my dad, learning that careful craftsmanship and a promise kept are just good manners. Since putting down roots in Colorado in 2016, I’ve carried that same yes-ma’am, no-nonsense ethic across Cañon City and southern Colorado, building pole barns, custom garages, and barndominiums that stand the test of time—and look good doing it. Together with my wife, Beth, and our two kids, I personally guide each project from permits to final walk-through, so every client knows their investment is backed by quality, integrity, community values, and genuine Southern hospitality.

My early days working alongside my dad taught me a lot more than just construction—they taught me how to treat people. I believe in showing up, doing what you say you’re going to do, and leaving things better than you found them. That’s the foundation VWC Construction is built on.

When we took over the company in 2022, Beth and I had a vision to grow it into something more than just a business. We wanted to create a company our family could be proud of—one that puts people first, helps customers feel confident in their decisions, and delivers strong, long-lasting buildings tailored to real-life needs. Whether we’re putting up a hay barn in the high desert or building a dream barndominium in the hills, we treat every project like it’s for our own family.

We’re proud to be a small, family-owned company. That means when you work with VWC Construction, you’re not getting passed around from one department to another. You’re getting personal attention from start to finish—from permitting and engineering to the final walkthrough. We don’t just build barns; we build trust, community, and structures that feel like home.

At the end of the day, we’re a husband and wife raising our family in this beautiful part of Colorado, doing work that matters for folks we respect. We’re here to help you bring your vision to life with transparency, craftsmanship, and care. If you're looking for a crew that values hard work, honest communication, and relationships over shortcuts—welcome. You're in the right place.
