Deherrera Project
RV Storage Building with Enclosed
Lean-To in Florence, CO
Custom RV Storage Building with 16′ Sidewalls Built in Florence, Colorado
Florence, Colorado
The Deherrera Project is a custom RV storage building with 16-foot sidewalls and an enclosed lean-to, built in Florence, Colorado. This project was designed around real property limitations—including setbacks and underground utilities—while still giving the homeowner the space and functionality he needed.
By adjusting the footprint and adding an enclosed lean-to, the final design ended up being the perfect solution.

Built Around the Customer’s Needs
Jake needed a place to store his camper and have extra storage space on his property. However, setbacks and underground utilities limited the footprint he could build within.
Rather than forcing a one-size-fits-all design, the building was planned to work with the property:
-
The main RV bay was sized to meet clearance needs
-
An enclosed lean-to was added to provide additional storage
-
The layout maintained safe distances from existing utilities
-
The final design met all local requirements
In the end, the lean-to addition made the building function better than originally planned, giving Jake the storage space he needed without compromising safety or compliance.

My wife and I hired VWC to build an RV/storage building for us. Beginning with the permitting process, the dirt work, main building, concrete, to the finished project, everything was above and beyond our satisfaction. VWC’s communication through the entire process was wonderful.
The crew(s) were amazing, and the materials used are all top-notch and local. They even mounted a solar light above the main garage door for us! That’s great customer service!
We love our new building and can’t say enough about VWC’s outstanding professionalism and quality of construction. Julian and his crew did a fabulous job on the project! We highly recommend VWC to anyone needing a new pole barn!
Thanks, Julian, Joe, and the rest of the crew!

Designed Around Existing Utilities
One of the key challenges on this project was an existing underground gas line.
The building layout and placement were carefully designed to:
-
Maintain proper utility clearances
-
Meet local code and inspection requirements
-
Keep everyone safe during construction and long-term use
This type of planning ensures the building performs well now and into the future.
At VWC Construction, we focus on listening first, then designing a building that fits the land, the regulations, and the customer’s actual needs.
